Bio: My wife, Sue, and I have just retired back to our house in France and I thought I would share thoughts and experiences of our life here. I worked in aviation all my working life. For the last 20 years I was a B747 Cargo Loadmaster for an American all-cargo airline, Evergreen International. I met Sue in 1998 in Sydney where I was handling Evergreen flights which were operated for Qantas. After 9/11 we became somewhat nomadic. I was posted to a military base in Sicily. We later bought our house in France in 2005 but returned to Sydney in 2007 where we lived till 2012. I was laid off at the end of 2011 so, to promote Sue's greeting card and print business, Wattlebird Designs, we sold up and moved to the Cotswolds in England. After a year there we decided it would be more "economic" to return to our house in France. And this is where the story really starts...
